The Eclipse Foundation is currently running two industry surveys that allow the Eclipse Community to build awareness around their development focus area.
There is still time to complete the 2022 Jakarta EE Developer Survey, which closes on May 6. So far, we’ve collected insights from over a thousand Java developers, architects, and stakeholders, who have shared their preferences and priorities for cloud native Java architectures, technologies, and tools.
The survey features questions on the role of open source in the enterprise Java landscape, and allows you to share your thoughts and ideas for future Jakarta EE releases.

The 2022 IoT & Edge Developer and Adoption Survey is also open for submissions. For the first time, the Eclipse IoT and Edge Native Working Groups are collecting insights on development and commercial adoption in the same survey. The results from the survey will be available in reports that are scheduled to be published later this year.
In this year’s survey we’re asking developers and technology professionals about operating systems, programming languages, hardware architectures, and the security solutions they prefer to use in various situations.
