Learn About the Cyber Resilience Act’s Impact on Open Source
As written, the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act poses an unnecessary economic and technological risk to Europe.
The Eclipse Foundation and eleven other leading open source organizations have written an open letter to the European Commission to offer our expertise to make constructive changes to the legislation in support of strengthening cybersecurity without harming the open source software community.
The letter expresses the signing organizations’ concern that the greater open source community has been underrepresented during the development of the legislation to date, and their intention to remedy this throughout the co-legislative process.
