Eclipse uProtocol, an Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle communications framework, is preparing for its alpha release in November, and the uProtocol team is looking for new contributors.

uProtocol aims to solve some of the most complex challenges in modern vehicle communication systems. By providing a transport-agnostic, layered communication protocol, uProtocol is designed to facilitate seamless data exchange across different domains of a vehicle's ecosystem. From the most highly safety-qualified, including mechatronic devices, all the way out to cloud-based services and mobile, uProtocol enables any vehicle topology required for smooth operation of a connected, software-defined vehicle.
