EclipseCon Audition Sessions, Take 2

The EclipseCon program committee is holding another series of auditions on December 15, 2010. If you're interested in speaking at EclipseCon, the audition sessions are your chance to present a short version of your talk proposal to the program committee and the Eclipse community. These auditions are your last chance to demonstrate ideas that the words in your submission couldn't fully capture. The winning audition will be given a speaking slot at EclipseCon. See More

Eclipse Makes Available New Release of Eclipse Virgo

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the release of Eclipse Virgo 2.1, a light-weight application server for deploying applications based on OSGi. Eclipse Virgo was created in March 2010 and is based on the code contribution of VMware's SpringSource dm Server product. This is the first official release of this project since becoming an Eclipse project.

This two-day event will bring together the Spanish community of Eclipse users and developers from a wide range of academic, institutional and business backgrounds. Eclipse Day in Rome is being held on October 5, 2010. It is the first event taking place in Italy that is focused on the enterprise adoption of Eclipse-based solutions. The main topics that Eclipse Day in Rome will explore are service-oriented architectures, integration and interoperability domains, and there will be specific use cases from the Eclipse ecosystem.

The Eclipse Foundation and Eclipse member companies are pleased to announce the fall 2010 training class series. The training is an excellent opportunity for software developers and architects to learn more about Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), BIRT and Modeling technologies. Eclipse experts will lead the sessions, providing practical experience through classroom instruction and hands-on labs. Virtual and on-site classes have been scheduled in several countries from September 20 to November 5, 2010.
