Join us for Eclipse DemoCamps and Campus DemoCamps

During the month of November, the Eclipse community will be hosting DemoCamps in cities around the world. For this series, the Foundation is introducing a new program to reach out to the academic and student communities. Building on the success of our regular DemoCamp series, we invite university students and professors to organize Campus DemoCamps.

Eclipse Summit Europe Program Announced

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the keynotes and technical program for the upcoming fifth annual Eclipse Summit Europe (ESE) conference. ESE is the annual Eclipse European community event planned for November 2-4, 2010 in Ludwigsburg Germany.

Eclipse Day in Rome is being held on October 5, 2010. It is the first event taking place in Italy that is focused on the enterprise adoption of Eclipse-based solutions. The main topics that Eclipse Day in Rome will explore are service-oriented architectures, integration and interoperability domains, and there will be specific use cases from the Eclipse ecosystem.

Register for the Eclipse Fall Training Series

The Eclipse Foundation and Eclipse member companies are pleased to announce the fall 2010 training class series. The training is an excellent opportunity for software developers and architects to learn more about Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), BIRT and Modeling technologies. Eclipse experts will lead the sessions, providing practical experience through classroom instruction and hands-on labs. Virtual and on-site classes have been scheduled in several countries from September 20 to November 5, 2010.

Eclipse has a very large and successful ecosystem of plugin providers and RCP application developers. Eclipse 4.0 introduces new features that make it easier for the members of the ecosystem to build and assemble Eclipse plugins and RCP applications.

The annual simultaneous release has now grown to 39 projects with over 33 million lines of code, contributed by committers around the world. Eclipse Embedded Day in Stuttgart

Introducing Eclipse Labs

The Eclipse Foundation, in collaboration with Google, is pleased to announce Eclipse Labs, a new place to host open source projects based on Eclipse. Eclipse Labs provides the infrastructure services typically required by open source projects, such as code repositories, bug tracking, project web sites/wiki. This new service is hosted by Project Hosting on Google Code, so it will be very familiar to developers already using Google Code Project Hosting.

Celebrate Helios at an Eclipse DemoCamp

Members of the Eclipse community will be celebrating the Helios release at DemoCamps around the world from the last week of May until June 30. Typically a DemoCamp consists of a series of short demos and presentations from developers building new and interesting solutions with Eclipse. It is a great way to discover and learn about new Eclipse technology. There is also lots of time for informal conversation and networking, so DemoCamps are a great way to connect with colleagues and friends.
