We are proud to announce that the IoT Marketing Committee has been launched! Hooray! To increase market awareness and adoption of the Eclipse IoT pillar, this committee is intended to collaboratively grow the Eclipse IoT brand by developing co-marketing strategies, amplifying messaging on social channels, and sharing best practices. If you are a marketing, branding, or social media pro, WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or want to get involved.

IoT & Edge Program Manager
 
Frédéric Desbiens joined the Eclipse Foundation in February 2019. As the IoT and Edge Computing Program Manager, his job is to help the community innovate by bringing devices and software together. After hours, Frédéric will typically be found reading a history book, playing video games or watching Anime. He also likes going outdoors and playing sports with his friends and family.

Revolutionizing IIoT with Sparkplug and Eclipse Tahu
 
March 13th at 8AM PT/ 11AM ET / 5PM CET
 
In this session, Wes & Chad will explain the history, concepts, and reasoning behind the need for and creation of the Sparkplug specification. They will cover the technical details of Sparkplug and also how this ultimately lead to the creation of the Eclipse Tahu project. 

Speakers:
  • Wes Johnson is the VP of Software for Cirrus Link solutions where he co-created the Sparkplug specification and is a co-project lead for Eclipse Tahu.
  • Chad Kienle is a project lead on Eclipse Tahu as well as a co-creator of the Sparkplug specification.
