2021 IoT and Edge Commercial Adoption Survey Results
Download this year’s IoT and Edge Commercial Adoption Survey results for insight into macro-level adoption trends as well as ecosystem challenges and concerns.
The survey ran for two months in early 2021 and received responses from more than 300 individuals in a wide range of industries and organizations. The results confirm that IoT and edge computing technologies are being increasingly adopted, and that almost three-quarters of respondents are including open source software in their deployment plans.
The top three operational challenges cited in survey responses were:
- End-to-end IoT solution monitoring and management
- Device management
- Securing networks, devices, and data
The survey results also highlight the fact that every player in the IoT and edge ecosystem — enterprises, solution providers, and platform and software vendors — all play an important role in driving commercial adoption.
