To make it easier for our community to maintain an active contributor status, we’re introducing a new notification service for the Eclipse Contributor Agreement (ECA).

Eclipse Dataspace (EDWG) and Open Regulatory Compliance (ORC) Working Groups are heading to the Global Digital Collaboration Conference to host a series of sessions under the theme “Sovereign by Design.”

Open source is often described as a global movement, but for developers like Christopher Lumu, it’s also deeply personal. Born and raised in Uganda and trained in Computer Science, Christopher found in open source not just a career path but a purpose – a way to serve his community, his country, and other people around the world. We had the chance to talk with him about his experiences with two open source projects.

As part of Maintainer Month—a time to recognize and support the open source maintainers who keep our digital infrastructure running—Open Regulatory Compliance (ORC) is hosting a special panel on 27 May. Among the featured speakers is Felix Reda, who will share insights in the session titled, “The Cyber Resilience Act and Open Source: What Maintainers Really Need to Know.”
