For uProtocol we have a component in the roadmap called a uStreamer which is responsible for bridging between different underlying uP-L1 Transports. According to the roadmap, we wanted the uStreamer to be housed within a Zenoh plugin to allow us to eventually use a shared memory mechanism to reduce copies on large message payloads (e.g. camera images).

The BMW Group has joined the Eclipse Foundation’s Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Working Group as a strategic member. The Eclipse SDV Working Group facilitates global collaboration on open-source software technologies for use in modern vehicles.

After years of discussions, German car manufacturers have finally decided to work together. In a working group of around 50 companies, they want to develop joint software for future vehicle generations.

Eclipse Zenoh-Flow focuses on performance, real-time capabilities, and control over these aspects thanks to a declarative approach.
