The Eclipse Foundation is organizing an Open Source Executive Strategy Summit on March 26 in Santa Clara, CA (same location at EclipseCon). The Summit is for executives who are responsible for their organizations open source strategy and participation. The purpose of event is to answer two questions: 1) 'What Open Source Strategies Are Working Today?' and 2) 'What Will Work in the Future?'.

Eclipse Announces Latest PHP Development Tools (PDT)

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce a major upgrade to the popular Eclipse PHP Development Tools (PDT) project. PDT is an open source development tool that provides all the basic code editing capabilities developers need to get started developing PHP applications. The focus of the PDT 2.0 release is to add support for the object-oriented programming features of PHP and to improve the overall user experience of the PDT environment.

Eclipse Announces Gold Sponsors for EclipseCon 2009

The Eclipse Foundation today announced the Gold Sponsors for EclipseCon 2009, which will take place March 23-26 in Santa Clara, Calif. Actuate, Blu Age, IBM, Red Hat, Sopera and Wind River have all agreed to act as the premier Gold Sponsors for the annual Eclipse community conference.

EclipseCon 2009 Open for Registration

Registration for EclipseCon 2009 is now open. EclipseCon will be held March 23-26 in Santa Clara, CA. The "Very Early" registration price is availabe until December 31 and gives a 40% discount off the onsite price. A single fee provides access to the entire conference.

Remember to register for Eclipse Banking Day in NYC on December 9, 2008. This is a day-long event for senior technical developers, architects and managers in the finance industry to learn how to better leverage Eclipse technology and the Eclipse community as part of their development strategy. Attendees will have the chance to hear speakers from Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan, RBC Capital and UBS plus experts from the Eclipse community. New Global Eclipse Training Series Launch in 31 Cities

The Eclipse Foundation, in partnership with 14 Eclipse Foundation members, is pleased to announce a new Eclipse Training Series to be held in 31 cities around the world. The instructor-led training courses will be held from November 3 to December 13, 2008 and feature classes on Eclipse RCP (Basic and Advanced), Eclipse Equinox and Eclipse Modeling technologies.

Winners of the Ganymede Around the World Contest Announced

In June and July, Eclipse held a Ganymede Around the World Contest for individuals to submit their reviews of the Ganymede release. Over 600 reviews and messages were received from more than 70 different countries. All submissions can be seen on the Ganymede Around the World map. The reviews have been judged and the results are in.

Eclipse Delivers Its Annual Release Train
