We are pleased to announce that EclipseCon 2012 is moving to a new location just outside Washington, D.C. The annual Eclipse North American conference will be March 26-29 at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia.

The results of the annual Eclipse Community Survey are now available.

This year's themes are Eclipse Technology, Building Industry Solutions, Community and Collaboration, and Other. The submission deadline is August 17. EclipseCon Europe is three days of technical sessions, exhibits, and activities on November 2-4, in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

The Eclipse Foundation congratulates Chronon Systems, the winner of the first "Eclipse Hot New Products Showcase", held during EclipseCon 2011. Facing twenty other competitors, Chronon won with their "Time Travelling Debugger".

The Eclipse Foundation congratulates the winners of the annual Eclipse Community Awards, which recognize the top individuals, projects and technologies in the ecosystem. Recipients were honored at an awards ceremony March 21 on the opening day of EclipseCon 2011.

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce that developers may now sign-up for access to a beta version of the OrionHub service, a hosted implementation of Orion. Orion is a new Eclipse initiative to define a platform for building and integrating web development tools. An early release of Orion provides web developers with an editor for JavaScript, HTML and CSS that runs in popular browsers and the ability to easily link with popular web-based tools.

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the IBM Watson project is coming to EclipseCon 2011. 'What is Watson' will be a keynote presentation featuring the technologies that power Watson.

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the technical program for EclipseCon 2011. The EclipseCon program committee is holding another series of auditions on December 15, 2010. If you're interested in speaking at EclipseCon, the audition sessions are your chance to present a short version of your talk proposal to the program committee and the Eclipse community. These auditions are your last chance to demonstrate ideas that the words in your submission couldn't fully capture. The winning audition will be given a speaking slot at EclipseCon. See More

The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the release of Eclipse Virgo 2.1, a light-weight application server for deploying applications based on OSGi. Eclipse Virgo was created in March 2010 and is based on the code contribution of VMware's SpringSource dm Server product. This is the first official release of this project since becoming an Eclipse project.

EclipseDay in Valencia is being held in Spain on November 30 - December 1. This two-day event will bring together the Spanish community of Eclipse users and developers from a wide range of academic, institutional and business backgrounds. The main theme of the conference is Modeling, Methodologies and Model Driven Development. There will also be other topics related to Eclipse projects.

The European Software Institute-Technalia is pleased to announce Eclipse Embedded Day Spain, which takes place November 9, 2010. The event is a day-long conference for technical experts, software developers, Eclipse users and researchers from the Spanish embedded systems community.

Eclipse Day Paris takes place November 5, 2010 and is a day-long event to explore Eclipse projects and topics for the French community. The event is ideal for IT decision makers, software architects and process and methods engineers that are interested in using Eclipse.
