The Eclipse Summit Europe (ESE) 2010 call for participation is now open. ESE 2010 will take place
November 2-4, 2010 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Deadline for submissions is August 16, 2010.

Celebrate Helios at an Eclipse DemoCamp
Members of the Eclipse community will be celebrating the Helios release at
DemoCamps around the world from the last week of May until June 30.
Typically a DemoCamp consists of a series of short demos and presentations from developers building new
and interesting solutions with Eclipse. It is a great way to discover and learn about new Eclipse
technology. There is also lots of time for informal conversation and networking, so DemoCamps are a
great way to connect with colleagues and friends.
Eclipse Announces New SOA Initiative
The Eclipse Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a new SOA
Industry Working Group. The working group is a collaboration of industry players, including
Engineering Group, itemis, Obeo and Sopera.
Register for Eclipse Banking Day in Copenhagen
Eclipse Banking
Day in Copenhagen is being held in Denmark on June 1, 2010. This full-day event will
provide an opportunity for senior technical developers, architects and managers in the finance
industry to learn how to better leverage Eclipse technology and the Eclipse community as part
of their development strategy. Eclipse experts and leading financial institutions such as
Danske Bank, JP Morgan and Nordea will present what work they are doing with Eclipse.
Eclipse Community Survey: Tell Us What You Are Doing
The Eclipse Foundation wants to better understand how you develop software, use Eclipse and interact with open source communities. Therefore, we are asking
people to give us their feedback by participating in the Eclipse Community Survey 2010. The results will be published by the Eclipse Foundation in June 2010.

EclipseRT Community Continues to Grow with New Projects and Contributors
This week at EclipseCon 2010 two new Eclipse projects, Eclipse Gemini and Eclipse Virgo, join the EclipseRT community. These two projects provide important functionality required by organizations building enterprise solutions. Both projects represent important milestones in the continued growth of the EclipseRT community.

Mylyn Enables Agile ALM for Eclipse
The Eclipse Foundation today announced new initiatives to support the ongoing growth of the Eclipse Mylyn ecosystem. The open source Mylyn project is a widely extended framework for integrating task and application lifecycle management (ALM) tools with the Eclipse IDE. The project will create new sub-projects representing key IDE/ALM integration categories.
Register for the Eclipse Spring Training Series
The Eclipse Foundation and Eclipse member companies are pleased to announce the spring 2010 training class series. The training is an excellent opportunity for software developers and architects to learn more about Eclipse Rich Client Platform (RCP), Equinox & OSGi and Modeling technologies. Eclipse experts will lead the sessions, providing practical experience through classroom instruction and hands-on labs. Virtual and on-site classes have been scheduled in several countries from April 12 to May 28, 2010.

e4-Rover Mars Challenge at EclipseCon
Do you have what it takes to be a rocket scientist? EclipseCon 2010 will be your opportunity to play with the top guns. The Eclipse Foundation, in collaboration with NASA JPL, are organizing the e4-Rover Mars Challenge. EclipseCon attendees will participate in a contest to create the very best robotic control system to drive a robot across a prototypical Mars landscape.
