Eclipse Foundation announces expanded support for Eclipse Integration Platform

Eclipse Foundation announced today new partnerships that strengthen the Eclipse Application Lifecycle Framework (ALF) Project and has made available for download of the new proof of concept code which will demo at EclipseCon 2006. The ALF Project, initiated by Serena Software in the spring of 2005, addresses the universal problem of integrating Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) technologies so that they provide full interoperability. Currently more than thirty vendors have pledged support for the ALF project and momentum continues.

Eclipse Community Awards Winners Announced

The Eclipse Foundation today announced the winners of its inaugural Eclipse Community Awards. Winners were selected by the Eclipse community and were honored at an awards ceremony last night on the opening day of EclipseCon 2006. The awards honor individuals and products that have helped further the reach of the Eclipse community and extended the ecosystem.

The Eclipse Foundation announced the results of the Add-in Provider and Committer elections for representatives to the board of directors. Congratulations to Howard Lewis and Todd Williams for being re-elected and Jochen Krause and Mike Taylor as new Add-in Provider representatives. Scott Lewis and Kai-Uwe Maetzel will be returning as Committer representatives, along with the newly elected Jeff McAffer and Tim Wagner. We're looking forward to working with you on the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors.
