Eclipse Foundation announced today new partnerships that strengthen the Eclipse Application Lifecycle Framework (ALF) Project and has made available for download of the new proof of concept code which will demo at EclipseCon 2006. The ALF Project, initiated by Serena Software in the spring of 2005, addresses the universal problem of integrating Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) technologies so that they provide full interoperability. Currently more than thirty vendors have pledged support for the ALF project and momentum continues.

The Eclipse Foundation today announced the winners of its inaugural Eclipse Community Awards. Winners were selected by the Eclipse community and were honored at an awards ceremony last night on the opening day of EclipseCon 2006. The awards honor individuals and products that have helped further the reach of the Eclipse community and extended the ecosystem.

The Eclipse Foundation today announced that Actuate, BEA Systems, Business Objects, Compuware, HP, IBM, Serena and Sybase have signed on as Gold Sponsors for EclipseCon 2006, the annual conference that brings together the Eclipse community. Gold Sponsorship is the highest level of sponsorship for the conference. The third annual EclipseCon will be held at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, Calif., March 20-23, 2006.

The Eclipse Foundation and some member companies are hosting a four city seminar series focused on using Eclipse in the enterprise.

Eclipse WTP Project ships platform API for independent extension

The Eclipse Foundation today announced the keynote speakers for its third annual community conference, EclipseCon 2006. The show brings together the Eclipse community to share and learn new techniques, ideas and technologies, as well as provide information about the latest developments and future plans of the Eclipse projects. The conference will be held March 20-23, 2006 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

The Eclipse Foundation announced today that Ralph Mueller has joined the Eclipse Foundation as Director, Eclipse Ecosystem - Europe.
